Event: Peru Jungle Ultra Marathon
Race: 230 KM
Date: June 1st to June 6th 2019
Target to raise: 20,000 USD
Brief:
A self-sufficient 230km race split into 5 stages of suffocating jungle undergrowth, river crossings and cloud shrouded mountain valleys. The team should expect choking humidity; the body pouring sweat in an effort to stay cool. There will be deep mud and heavy rain. There may also be periods spent running in darkness, following the route by head torch.
In June 2019, The Omni Athletes are competing against runners from all over the world as a team of 4. Their goal is to raise awareness and funds to support the treatment of CCCL patients
The team includes:
· Moutstapha Mroueh
· Dani Afiouni
· Mazen Mroueh
· Amin Maalouf
Please donate on this page to help the Omni Athletes team reach their fundraising goal to support Hanine and other young heroes in their fight against cancer.

Every donation counts with Hanine. Always happy and energetic, she is the girl with the strong character and captivating eyes.
Two and a half months ago, Hanine was pale and her face was turning white. Her parents took her to the doctor; and after blood tests, she was referred to CCCL.

“Hanine has cancer.”

It was after those three words that Hanine’s world suddenly stopped and took another route.
“The first five days were the worst anyone can live,” her mother said. “We were lost, scared, and far from home. Hanine was in pain, and with every tear she cried, my heart broke.”
Like most kids with leukemia, Hanine’s case was critical at first. She felt tired, then started to get dizzy, and she got weaker and weaker. That's how leukemia starts.
“At five and a half years old, the pain was too much to bear. But then, thanks to the medical staff, the nurses and the Child Life department, we are now better. We as a family are getting better. Hanine is starting to feel well and we have found our smiles again,” her mother continued.
The Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) is a reference regional center pioneering in the treatment of kids with cancer at no cost to their families and sole dependency on donations. Inaugurated 17 years ago, CCCL has treated more than 1,550 patients from all over Lebanon and the Arab region, and offered more than 4,500 medical consultations to others.
Your support is indeed a lifesaver, as the average cure rate for CCCL patients reaches 80%.
CCCL thanks each and every one of you! It is because of YOU, our donors and supporters, that we are able raise funds to maintain the 92% cure rate in leukemia.
Hanine needs you, we need you, and we thank you!
