In February 2019, I'll be trekking Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa and the highest single free-standing mountain in the world. Part of my motivation to finish the trek (and make it to the summit) is to raise money for a cause I feel strongly about. In light of the current situation in Lebanon, the CCCL needs all of our help. Amidst recent reports around the likely deficit that the Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) will have in 2020, it is important to ensure that the CCCL continues to have sufficient resources to "provide access to free treatment and care to all children with cancer in Lebanon and the region, without any discrimination”. While this is a small amount in comparison to the average cost of treating a patient (USD 55,000 on average, per year), every penny helps especially given the current situation that Lebanon is going through. please donate, every penny counts. About the CCCL The Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) is a not-for-profit association for the treatment of children with cancer. CCCL is affiliated to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (SJCRH) in Memphis, Tennessee; and works in close coordination with the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC).
